SHADY LADY substitutes!

sorry guys...my computer was not letting me type on the keyboard for some reason...so we're back in action now!!!

HERE's some replacements for the SHADY LADY set from The Balm....which is the bomb to me too! ha ha ha ha
 1. FOR LUSCIOUS LANI - ( a light peachy-goldy shimmer)you could use NAKED LUNCH from MAC or KITTEN from STILA

2. FOR EASY WHEEZIE- (a steel-blue shimmer)you could you KNIGHT or KNIGHT DEVINE from MAC or  STRIP from URBAN DECAY

3. AND FOR JET-SETTING JENNIFER-  ( a light yellowish-green shimmer)you could try maybe NYLON from MAC or any yellow shimmer that looks slighlty like the color of celery....or chartreuse ....
I had gone to MAC to see if they had similar colors for the SHADY LADY kit....and the sales girls were going crazy for the colors I had smeared all over my hands from Sephora.....they had nothing that was even close!!! They said, if we had all the colors...what would have to launch for new lines! isn't that nice!!!!
hope this helps...and check back....the Nude and FAST, Selena Gomez video is uploading!
see you soon dollfaces!!!!

Hair and There

I've had many a hair cut and color in my life....from a shaved-looking head...to fire engine red hair, so platinum blonde...to the original hair-down-to-there hair I grew up with.....
it's finally recovering from the boy-hair I did many moons ago....I kept having accidents with the clippers when I was growing out the shaved-look..ha ha ha ha ha

here's some phases of kandee hair...
this is how I grew up.....long....rapuntzel hair.......

years later....you can see the shave-ness peeking out from my scarf....blonde and barely there
here's a few months ahead...looks a little more girly...but man did I get ready fast...just put some wax in it and go...no blowdrying or straightening.....guys have it so easy!
and Fast Forward more months.......the top was gettin' long, boy! and back to my roots....ha ha ha...pun totally intended!
i don't know why this is underlining itself....ahhhh...my crazy computer must have the pig flu!

so here's my side swept bangs....
decide your desired starting length...the shortest higher part.......i think right below the eyebrow is great...when you sweep them to the side they get shorter......then curved down about cheekbone level.......get your razors out!!!!

It's time for love and dancing!

I can almost hear the dj's firing up their cd's for the dancing....
wedding season is almost in full swing...
and prom is boosting the sales of semi-formal dresses everywhere...

and my role:
make-up super-hero to save the day...
run from the lady at the salon that says she's a make-up artist....and the make-up salesperson at your local mall...

I have a classic, pretty look...that will last all night...won't melt off your face, and won't make you look like a or street-walker...

the colors I picked look great on all skin tones...and or dress colors!

get out this stuff and watch:

FACE: watch my video on flawless skin
highlighter: cream highlighter in SHELL from MAC (a peachy-pearl color),and QUICKTAN TONE powder highlighter from MAC (i think it's discontinued, but any white-pearly highlighter will work

BLUSH: BLUNT from MAC (a darker peach-bronze color without shimmer) CUBIC from MAC ( a rose-pink without shimmer or sparkle)
EYES: BRULLE from MAC (a nude matte color), YOGURT from MAC (a light nude-pink matte color)NAKED LUNCH (a shimmery peach-pearl color), CHARCOAL BROWN from MAC (a cool chocolate brown), CARBON from MAC (dark black with no sparkle)

EYELINERS:
WATERPROOF is essential for wedding make-up...
BLACK waterpoof liquid liner
BLACK waterproof eyeliner like ENGRAVED from MAC
MASCARA: BLACK waterproof mascara (in the video I used FIBER RICH MASCARA from MAC but it's not waterproof)
INDIVIDUAL LASHES:
I used ANDREA Indiviual lashes (I get them at Wal-Mart) in medium and short
then I use ARDELL LASH GLUE (preferably the clear kind for individual lashes)
and a pair of tweezers if you want...I just use my fingers

LIPS:
lipiner in POSH from Benefit
lipstick IN TANARAMA from MAC
gloss in any shade of nude-pearly-shimmer (like MouthWatering from MAC or I used a cheap one from the drug store in a light pinky-pearl color)

How to Clean Make-Up Brushes

TA-DA! I finally conquered my video software dilemmas...yay!

And now you can go out in the world...armed with the knowledge of how to properly cleanse your make-up brushes...look out world!

things you'll need to begin the conquering:

dirty brushes

paper towels

baby shampoo or gentle/moisturizing shampoo

extra virgin olive oil (no exceptions on the oil, no cooking oils......)

Make-up brushes accumulate oils from the skin, as well as the pigments, waxes, and emollients in make-up. These ingredients and oils, do not dissolve in water (they're designed that way so they don't come off easily), so they require the "like dissolves like" theory....oils dissolve oil.

The olive oil will dissolve and loosen all the make-up from the fibers of the brush, so you can just suds em' up, and they're good as new.

You can also use olive oil as an eye make-up remover...great for your lashes and skin as well...and considering you can buy a gallon of olive oil for about $25 bucks....it'll be the cheapest make-up remover you'll ever have.
