How to do FEATHER HAIR EXTENSIONS

To know me is to know my love of feather earrings...ha ha ha (especially from my friend Cardi..click here to see her awesome earrings...www.cardi-love.blogspot.com)...
but then
feather hair extensions came out and I thought I'd give em a try!


They are fun, fast, and super easy to put in your hair.
It's like getting highlights in your hair without damaging your hair!


Here's what you need...
CRIMPING BEADS: (as seen being held by yours truly..above)
these are the best...they come in different colors and have silicone inside to protect your hair and make them last longer...
(you cannot reuse these..once you remove the crimp beads, they are done! ha ha)

CRIMPING PLIERS (or plain ol' pliers will get the job done too!)

PULLING HOOK...to get the crimping bead on your hair...

FEATHERS ( minus the weird face I am making in this picture! ha ha ha)

How To Color Your Hair At Home ~ Roots!

Not everyone has the money to go get their hair colored in the salon right now, so im here to show you how to touch up your roots at home for cheap!
This hair color how to, will work if you have outgrowth from your normal hair color, or you have grey roots that are not making you look like your youthful self!

I'll show you how to do...Recessionista Style! (AKA kind to the wallet!)

Here's how to touch up your roots at home, for cheap!

WHAT YOU NEED:
gloves - you don't want evidence of your new dark roots with some stained hands! ha ha

 flat hair color brush - you can get these at any hair or beauty supply store for super cheapo
(and use can use it like a mask, like I look like in this picture! ha ha)

plastic bowl - you can get these at the beauty supply too, or just use any plastic or glass bowl

and ofcourse, your hair color of choice - I used, Matrix Dream Age SoColor Low-Ammonia Permanent Cream Haircolor in Dark Brown Neutral Ash (you can

creme developer (20 volume) -  Maximum color deposit, especially for gray or white hair with lightening (grey hair is stubborn so it needs at least a 20 vol to hold the color) you can get this at the beauty supply store, or if you buy a hair color kit at the store it should come with developer!

Now you just need some roots that need a touch-up and away we go!

Straighten that HAIR out!!!!

The hair straightening Olympics are quickly approaching....and guess who'd been in training for years now!!!
yep...yours truly....the confectionately name one.....the kandee-nator..AKA kandee-straighter..well not really..but you get the idear!

Bust out your round and flat brushes....
(I use the Cricket Flat Sculpting Brush...and I any round 2-3 inch in diameter bristle brush)

Then Blow-Dry....
I love my pinky FHI nano blowdryer...the fastest blow dryer I've ever dried me hairs with!

AND my favorito flat iron EVER.....the GHD Pure IV flat iron.......i love it so much....I got one for my mom and sister for presents!!! This is every amazing hairstylists fav flat iron...you just have to try it to see how stinkin' straight it gets your hair! I was a little worried because it's an investment...but everyday I use that baby...and my hair looks good.....I say "this thing was worth every penny!".....love it!

Hair + Gwen Stefani = fun

I liked NoDoubt and Gwen Stefani since back when she wore dickies and wife-beater tank-tops....
I just saw her on the ELLE magazine site (where my videos are featured right now....YAY!!!!!)...and her picture popped up with some super cute, twisted, updo.....and kandee thinks: "i want that hair too....and I will show everyone else how cute it is and easy to do!"....I adapted this look so it's more "wearable" for everyone, everyday...but if you want it more wild like this...just let more pieces stick out, and twist the top uo looser towards the back....have fun!
